- Click single titles in "Cited" to find other papers citing a reference: the list "Citings"
- Capitalize proper nouns to search for specific people, places, products
- A maximum of 200 hits are displayed. Default sorting order is "relevance", consider also sorting order "Publication date" if you can't limit your search (by adding more +words or enclosing phrases in double quotes)

Google Scholar
Searches a.o. the full text of all journals published by 45+ publishers
Setup for direct export to RefWorks (only one reference at a time): Google Scholar preferences
- Mark (bottom of page: Bibliography Manager > Show links to import citations into RefWorks + [Save preferences]
- Every reference in Google Scholar now shows a "Import into RefWorks" link. Google Scholar always open RefWorks in "Edit mode", so you can add or modify text.
- Google Scholar also links to library.dk for "whole books".
- References to journal papers may be very crude, the same reference with more complete bibliographic data, abstract a.o. can often be found in one of the other databases mentioned below
Bibliographies - electronic and printed journals
SCOPUS , 1996-
The largest multidisciplinary bibliographic databases ever assembled. It indexes and abstracts more scientific, technical, medical and social science literature than any other database.
- Every record contains a full and extended bibliography with counts and links to all more recent citations enabling both forwards and backwards citation searching
- Limit large answer sets to Document type and/or Subject area, sort answer set according to number og times cited: Cited by
- [Full text]-buttons for most records, if not: Use [Abstract+Refs] and [View at Publisher], if not: [SFX] - will search for ISSN/journal title in http://library.dk
- Attempts to create profiles for individual authors. A comprehensive author search must at present be performed through Basic or Advanced Search
- Indexes patents (through SCIRUS) registered by European Patent Office (EPO), US Patent Office (USPO) and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) (how to obtain full-text patent documents, see: Patents ).
- Indexes websites from academic and technical websites (through SCIRUS)
- Covers both journals, web-documents (through SCIRUS) and patents (Patent record available from the European Patent Office, US Patent Office and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) ) - for details about how to get access to full patent documents, see Patents
Exporting references to RefWorks:

- Most individual bibliographies are also available in bib-tex-format
- Cut and paste single references into RefWorks import window, larger bibliographies should be saved and imported as a file. Import filter: BibTex
- Use bibliotek.dk to get perfect records for books, reports from danish computer science departments, articles in danish journals
- Setup for exporting references: Select tab: "My bibliotek.dk" and here: Settings: Request and import. Select the option: "Yes please, I would like to be able to import to EndNote or Reference Manager" and save your setup
- Go back to "Search", all relevant records should be "put in basket", when finished searching go to "My basket" and select: "Import selected records to Reference Manager or EndNote" - you will then be able to download a txt-file containg alle selected references that may be imported into RefWorks through RIS-importfilter

RefWorks
RefWorks - getting started
Sign up for an individual account - this must be done from a computer within AU-campus IP-range
If you access your RefWorks database(s) from outside AU-campus you will need an additional "Groupcode" (sent with the welcome email from RefWorks - if you need it, please write jk@statsbiblioteket.dk)
Connecting WORD to RefWorks - other wordprocessors are not supported at present:
- Use either the Write-N-Cite plugin (available: RefWorks > Tools) - or:
- Enter the RefWorks-ID in double curly parentheses {{ }} in your WORD-dokument
RefWorks will also format in-text-references and bibliographies saved as .txt or .rtf
In both cases RefWorks will be able format your document according to the chosen style. The result will be a new file of the same type named Final_aa.xxx

Importing references into RefWorks
Single references or small answer sets:
- Direct export to RefWorks from SCOPUS, INSPEC, CSA Bibliographies, Google Scholar
- Copy and paste into RefWorks "Import Data from the following Text" window + appropriate Import filter
- Save answer set as file, use “Import Data from the following Text File” and browse to find the import file + appropriate Import filter
RefWorks will import into "Last imported"-folder from which you can select any reference and transfer them to existing or new folder(s). Duplicates of same reference from different databases (or from different searches in same database) are easily found and eliminated in RefWorks
RefGrabIt get it here - captures bibliographic information from web pages and allows you to import (more or less complete) references for both websites, books (e.g. Amazon) and journal articles (from webpages of full reference in bibliographic database or full homepage of article at publishers website)
RefWorks as RSS-reader: copy URL of RSS-feed to RefWorks > Search > RSS - records will be imported into a temporary folder from which you can select the relevante references to be imported in your RefWorks database
